So I have been wanting to write more about why I love the UCC church I go to.  The biggest thing that struck me when I arrived there for the first time was, that no one appeared to be holier than thou.  That impressed me so much.  They accepted me as me and did not know anything about me.  Talk about impressive.  The next thing I started noticing as I started going more was that the pastor is very good at taking time to check on his flock.  I honestly can say I have never seen that in any church I have ever been to before.  I have also noticed that not only does the pastor check on me often I have other members of the church check on me too.  The best thing is the hugs as people got to know me.  I love a good hearty hug.  Hugs are so good for the soul.  Since my family is not close to here it is nice to at least get a hug or two once a week from people I really think the world of.  My impressions of my new UCC church are only getting better and better.  I actually cannot wait till Sunday to see my church family!
